It is with heavy hearts that the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra mourns the passing of our dear friend and long-time champion, George Brant.

George believed deeply in the power of music and the importance of a vibrant cultural community. His leadership, generosity, and unwavering support played a vital role in shaping the orchestra into what it is today.

Whether attending performances, offering thoughtful counsel, or supporting key fundraising efforts, George was always present. He understood that orchestral music reflects the spirit of a city—and he helped to guide and elevate ours.

We honour George’s life with heartfelt gratitude and remain committed to carrying forward his passion for the arts and his enduring belief in the strength of community.
