Do I Need to Apply to be part of the MSYO each year?
Yes. All new and returning members must complete the MSYO application each year to ensure our records are up to date.
How Do I Audition?
Once an application form has been submitted, applicants will receive audition details, an intake form, and instructions for submitting a video audition.
When Will I Receive Confirmation of My Application?
Once you submit your application, this confirmation message should appear on the screen:
Which Ensemble Am I In?
The Artistic Director will decide on the placement of each MSYO member. You will be notified directly once your placement is determined.
How Do I Receive My Complimentary Concert Tickets?
Details on how to claim your two complimentary tickets per concert will be emailed to each MSYO member approximately one month prior to each performance.
When Do We Rehearse and Perform?
The rehearsal and concert schedule will be emailed once you are accepted into the MSYO. Please refer to it throughout the season.
When Do I Receive My Music?
Sheet music (including new, missing, or forgotten parts) will only be distributed at rehearsals.
Is There a Dress Code?
Yes. The dress code is outlined in the handbook that is sent to members when they are accepted to the MSYO.
