THE RAVEL EXPERIENCE

Join Mayor Carolyn Parrish and the MSO for The Ravel Experience, a concert that explores Ravel’s extraordinary gift for creating rich, imaginative soundscapes.

The program features Daphnis et Chloé Suite No. 2, a lush, evocative work drawn from Ravel’s celebrated ballet, and his brilliant orchestration of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition which transforms the original piano suite into a vivid and dramatic musical journey.

Internationally acclaimed pianist Cecilia Chow joins the orchestra to perform Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major. A Hong Kong-born artist praised for her sensitivity, dazzling technique, and expressive tone, Chow has performed extensively across Europe, Asia, and North America.

This special Mayor’s Concert concludes with a post-concert mix and mingle in the Living Arts Centre atrium, surrounded by selections from the Art Gallery of Mississauga’s permanent collection — a perfect finale to an evening of music and community celebration.
